Terms and Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION


These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Trade Link Network website and platform (“Platform”, “Website”, “we”, “us”, “our”).


Trade Link Network operates an online marketplace that connects homeowners (“Homeowners”) with independent tradespeople (“Tradespeople”).


By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. PLATFORM ROLE & CORE PRINCIPLE


2.1 Marketplace Only


Trade Link Network is an intermediary platform only.


We:

  • Do not provide trade services

  • Do not carry out building, landscaping, driveway, or any other works

  • Do not employ tradespeople


Our role is strictly limited to:


Connecting homeowners with independent tradespeople

2.2 Independent Contractors


All tradespeople using the Platform are:

  • Independent contractors

  • Not employees, agents, or representatives of Trade Link Network


Any contract for works is strictly between the homeowner and the tradesperson.

3. ELIGIBILITY


3.1 Homeowners


You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate contact information

  • Have authority to request work at the property

3.2 Tradespeople


Tradespeople must:

  • Be legally permitted to operate in the UK

  • Provide accurate business and contact details

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

  • Accept that access to leads is pay-per-lead only


Trade Link Network reserves the right to:

  • Approve, suspend, or remove any tradesperson at its discretion

4. HOW THE PLATFORM WORKS


4.1 For Homeowners

  • Homeowners submit a job request

  • Contact details may be verified via email, SMS, or other methods

  • The job is shared with suitable tradespeople

  • Up to three tradespeople may purchase access to a lead

  • Homeowners choose whether to engage a tradesperson


Posting a job is free for homeowners.

4.2 For Tradespeople

  • Tradespeople may browse available leads (login required)

  • Leads are purchased on a pay-per-lead basis

  • No subscriptions are required

  • A maximum of three tradespeople may purchase each lead

5. LEAD PURCHASES & PAYMENTS


5.1 Lead Access


Purchasing a lead grants the tradesperson:

  • Access to the homeowner’s contact details

  • The opportunity to contact the homeowner


It does not guarantee:

  • A response

  • A quote acceptance

  • Any work being awarded

5.2 Payments


Payments are processed via third-party payment providers (e.g. Stripe).


Trade Link Network:

  • Does not store full card details

  • Is not responsible for payment provider outages or errors

5.3 Refund Policy


Refunds may be considered at Trade Link Network’s discretion where:

  • A lead is proven to be fraudulent

  • Contact details are invalid

  • The homeowner is unreachable despite reasonable attempts


Refunds are not guaranteed and are assessed case-by-case.

6. REVIEWS & RATINGS


6.1 Verified Reviews Only

  • Reviews may only be left after a job has been marked as completed

  • Reviews must relate to a genuine job posted through the Platform

  • Anonymous reviews are not permitted

6.2 Moderation


Trade Link Network reserves the right to:

  • Moderate, remove, or edit reviews

  • Remove reviews that are abusive, false, defamatory, or misleading

7. CODE OF CONDUCT


7.1 Tradespeople


Tradespeople must:

  • Communicate honestly and professionally

  • Honour agreed prices and timelines

  • Comply with all applicable laws

  • Not misuse homeowner data

7.2 Homeowners


Homeowners must:

  • Provide accurate job information

  • Communicate respectfully

  • Not misuse the Platform to obtain free advice or spam tradespeople

7.3 Prohibited Conduct


The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Fraudulent job postings

  • Fake reviews

  • Harassment or abuse

  • Circumventing the Platform to avoid lead fees

  • Scraping or copying Platform data

8. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER


8.1 No Liability for Work


Trade Link Network:

  • Is not responsible for work quality

  • Is not responsible for disputes between users

  • Does not guarantee outcomes


All work is carried out at the user’s own risk.

8.2 Limitation of Liability


To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trade Link Network shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profit

  • Loss of business

  • Property damage

  • Personal injury arising from work carried out by tradespeople

9. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION & TERMINATION


Trade Link Network may suspend or terminate accounts where:

  • These Terms are breached

  • Fraud or misuse is suspected

  • Platform integrity is at risk


We are not obliged to provide access to the Platform.

10. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY


Use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • How personal data is processed

  • GDPR compliance

  • Email and SMS verification

  • Data sharing with tradespeople

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY


All content, branding, and systems on the Platform are the property of Trade Link Network.


Users may not copy, reproduce, or reuse content without written permission.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES


We may integrate third-party services including:

  • Payment processors

  • Email/SMS providers

  • Analytics tools


We are not responsible for third-party service failures.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS


We may update these Terms from time to time.


Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

14. GOVERNING LAW


These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.


Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
